Practice & Training
Teams participating in the WFDF 2026 World Team Disc Golf Championship will have access to both competition courses before the start of competition.
Official scheduled practice will take place on Sunday, 6 September and Monday, 7 September, with additional opportunities for free, unscheduled practice before and around the official practice programme.
Official Scheduled Practice
Official scheduled practice will take place on:
- Sunday, 6 September
- Monday, 7 September
- Tee times from 06:30 to 17:42
- Starting intervals of 12 minutes
- Both Course A and Course B are available
Each national team is guaranteed one full practice round on Course A and one full practice round on Course B.
Open and Masters players from the same country are combined for practice purposes. The number of practice groups allocated to each country is calculated according to the total number of registered players, with a maximum of four players per practice group.
For example, a country with 19 registered players receives five numbered practice groups: Country 1/5, Country 2/5, and so on.
Practice Booking
Scheduled practice tee times must be reserved through the official WTDGC Practice Booking System. Access information and the booking link have been provided directly to Team Captains and Team Managers.
During the initial booking stage, each numbered practice group may reserve one tee time:
- on either Course A or Course B;
- on either Sunday or Monday; and
- independently of the country’s other practice groups.
The groups from the same country therefore do not all need to practise on the same course or on the same day.
The 24-hour waiting period begins when a national team confirms its first booking. After 24 hours, each numbered practice group may reserve its second tee time, but only on the course opposite to the one already booked for that group.
This system has been introduced to provide fairer access for teams in different time zones and to prevent teams that are online immediately when booking opens from reserving preferred times on both courses before other teams have had a reasonable opportunity to access the system.

The schedule is updated directly from the official WTDGC Practice Booking System and shows both available and reserved practice slots for Course A and Course B.
Available tee times are shown in white, while reserved tee times show the national team and practice group holding that reservation.

The displayed schedule is for information only. Team Captains and Team Managers must use the official booking system above to make or manage reservations.
Scheduled Practice Requirements
During official scheduled practice:
- all groups start from Hole 1;
- groups may contain no more than four players;
- booked tee times must be followed strictly;
- each player may throw up to three tee shots;
- each player may make up to three additional practice throws from subsequent positions or lines of play;
- players and registered team members participating in scheduled practice must wear their official national team uniform; and
- putting and repeated short-game practice should take place at the designated practice and warm-up facilities, rather than on competition holes.
Teams must maintain an appropriate pace of play throughout their practice round.
If a faster group is waiting and the hole ahead is clear, the slower group should allow the faster group to play through.
Free and Unscheduled Practice
Free, unscheduled practice will also be available:
- on Friday, 4 September;
- on Saturday, 5 September;
- on Tuesday morning, 8 September;
- before the first scheduled practice group starts on Sunday and Monday; and
- behind the final scheduled practice group on Sunday and Monday, as each hole becomes available.
During scheduled practice periods on Sunday and Monday, holes that are not currently being used by official scheduled practice groups may also be used for unrestricted practice. This includes holes that the first scheduled practice groups have not yet reached. Official scheduled practice groups always have priority.
On Sunday and Monday, teams do not need to wait for the final scheduled practice group to complete the entire course before beginning unrestricted practice.
Once the final scheduled group has left a particular hole, that hole becomes available for unrestricted practice. For example, once the final scheduled group has left Hole 1, an unscheduled practice group may start on Hole 1 and follow behind the final scheduled group as the remaining holes progressively become available.
Official scheduled practice groups always have priority. Players using holes for unrestricted practice must leave the hole in sufficient time before an official practice group arrives so that they do not cause any interference or delay.
Unscheduled practice is available on a first-come, first-served basis and does not replace each national team’s guaranteed scheduled practice round on each course.
Warm-Up and Practice During the Championship
Dedicated practice baskets will be available for putting and short-game warm-up.
Once competition has started, practice on a Championship course is permitted only when the relevant course or holes are not in use for competition and when such practice does not interfere with Matches or event operations.
Practice throws on a course while a Match or other official competition activity is taking place on that course are not permitted unless specifically authorised by Tournament Officials.
Players must follow all instructions from Tournament Officials regarding course access, practice areas and warm-up locations.
Practice is not permitted during the Opening Ceremony.
All participants are expected to respect other course users, follow the instructions of Tournament Officials and event staff, and ensure that their practice activities do not create unnecessary safety risks or interfere with other players or event operations.
